Filter presses

Filter presses are working in charge. The Zyclus is passing through different steps which are seperated at chamber and membrane filter presses. The sequences can take different times. This is based on which product you will filter.

Close press

The filter press closes hydraulic. The chamber is getting closed with the closing pressure of the hydraulic cylinder.
Filling and filtration

Suspension is getting pumped through the manifold. During the filtration solid matter is getting separated by the filter cloth on both sides of the chamber and form a filter cake during the filter time. Filter matter run through the filter cloth to the filtrate drainage of the filter press. During the filtration the filter cake is getting bigger and bigger until the solid matter concentration is catched.
Cake washing with the suspension chanel – optional

After the filtration the washing water pumped through the suspensions channel into the filter press. Throughout the suspension is blocked and the washing water run into the chambers. The washing water slowly replaces the mother liquor in the filter cake. The filter cakes are getting washed until the mother liquor is replaced. This method is also known as after wash.
Pre-squeze – only membrane filter presses

The membranes of the filter elements acting upon with water pressure. The membranes in the filter chambers are bearing against the filter cake. The membrane reduces the chamber volume exactly
Cake washing by using a pressure-plate – optional

The washing medium is flowing through the filtrate channel from the chamber side through the filter cake to the opposite side of the chamber. Therefor the mother liquor displaced and replaced with the washing medium. The membranes are under pressure at the membrane filter press during washing. This prevent forming cracks and the result of washing is better.
Final squeezing

The membranes are getting beaufschlagt with pressure so the filter cake is still drainage. Pressure and time are relevant for the maximum of mechanical drainage. The cake dries at the same time.
Cake drying

The compressed air was blowing through the filtrate channel and presses the liquid out of the filter cake. During drying of the filter cake the membranes are still under pressure.
Cake discharge

The filter press can be opened if their chambers are completely without pressure. The chambers opened one by one and the filter cakes discharge.
Washing and cleaning of the filter cloth

The filter clothes should be cleaned occasionally to get a constant efficiency. This can be reached with a chemical or high pressure treatment.

Overhead Filter presses

Ambitious design and high operational safety!

The lattice construction is getting its whole closing power from a statically triangle, which consists of an overhead double T beam, xxxxxx head and hydraulic stand. This construction is offering the most powerful and strong press frame. Up to 175 chambers could be installed at a filter press with 2.000mm*2.000mm proportion. The advantages are: very good accessibility while in use and during maintenance.

These presses are especially for small durchsatzleistungen. A huge range of articles of different Baugrößen and vielfältigem Automatisierungsgrad are standard to handle all requirements of our customers.

We are supplying in den Baugrößen 300 * 300 mm up to 1.500mm*1.500mm. Every Baugröße is equipped with the optimum of chambers. The 16bar operating pressure is standard, 30bar are possible.
